Before you begin learning about God's word, you need to remember if you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to be sure you have named your sins to God the Father in prayer.  This is REBOUND.  Rebound allows God the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you.  If you are not a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ please go to SALVATION before you start.

After salvation it is important for you to study the word of God, Bible Doctrine every day.   Why?  We talked about how important it is for you to be saved.  You have salvation by ‘faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  You have your ‘Promise Box’ and know how to use the ‘Faith Rest Drill’ when you have problems.  However; God’s Plan for your life means that you have to study 'Bible Doctrine' and apply that same 'Bible Doctrine' to all things in your life each and every day.  Luke 11:28b “Blessed are those who hear the Word of God [Bible Doctrine] and observe [see and use] it.”

Bible Doctrine is your guide for making good decisions.  Bible Doctrine tells you when you do what is right and what is wrong.  When you do something wrong or something bad, Bible Doctrine tells you to ‘Rebound’. When you are in fellowship with God, the Holy Spirit delivers Bible Doctrine to you.  The Holy Spirit is in control and teaches you to understand and use Bible DoctrineBible Doctrine tells you how to talk to God the Father in prayer when you need His help.  Bible Doctrine is the only way you can grow in the Grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Bible Doctrine is the mind of Jesus Christ.  It is His thinking and His will. Isa 1:10a “Hear the Word [Bible Doctrine] of the Lord”

God wants you to have His highest and to have His best.  He wants you to be happy!   Bible Doctrine shows you and leads you on the path to happiness.   Rom. 15:4 -  For everything that was written in the past  was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope [confidence & happiness]  .

Okay, time for an example. You are hungry and it is lunchtime and you open your lunch box.  In your lunch box you have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  Now if you do not eat your sandwich, you will still feel hungry.  You must pick up the sandwich, take a bite of it, chew the wonderful taste of the peanut butter and jelly, and then you must swallow the chewed bite.  If you do not take that bite, chew and swallow, you will not have the energy to play in the afternoon.  The same is true for Bible Doctrine.  You must eat the words of God!
Matt 4:4  “It is written, ’Man shall not live on Bread alone , but on every Word
[Bible Doctrine] that proceeds [tells us] out of the mouth of God.”

Someone, your Mom, Dad, a grandparent, or a pastor-teacher, teaches you Bible Doctrine. This is your “Spiritual Lunch Box”.  You are eating the words of Bible Doctrine. The Holy Spirit makes that Bible Doctrine, from your “Spiritual Lunch Box” understandable to you, because you are a believer.  This is the same as chewing and swallowing the words of Bible Doctrine.  Your body uses the sandwich you ate to nourish your body and to give you energy.  The Holy Spirit uses Bible Doctrine from your “Spiritual Lunch Box” to teach, guide and direct you.  Bible Doctrine gives you spiritual energy.    Rom 12:2b  “ Be transformed [changed] by the renewing [eating God’s words] of your mind.”  You must use what God has provided for you, your “Spiritual Lunch Box”, the Bible, and eat the words. Understanding and using Bible Doctrine gives  spiritual energy to you to guide and to direct you as you make decisions each and every day.

Bible Doctrine instructs you.  Bible Doctrine guides you.  Bible Doctrine teaches and tells you what is not correct and is wrong to do.  Bible Doctrine tells you what is right and correct.  God provides everything for your “Spiritual Lunch Box”. 2 Tim 3:16a “For all Scripture is inspired by God”.   You are in God’s plan, your “Spiritual Lunch Box” feeds you Bible Doctrine daily, and the Holy Spirit is in control to teach you.

You must eat food each day to stay healthy and full of energy.  The same applies to Bible Doctrine.  You must eat and apply Bible Doctrine to all that you think, say and do.  God provides the Bible Doctrine, God the Holy Spirit teaches you to understand Bible Doctrine

So what will you do?  It is up to you to put Bible Doctrine in your “Spiritual Lunch Box”, open the box, eat the words, and apply Bible Doctrine to everything in your life.  John 6:32c “But it is My Father [God the Father] who gives you the true bread [Bible Doctrine] out of heaven”.
